About Department

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the academic year 1996-1997, following its bifurcation from the Department of Computer Science. The department aims to equip students with emerging trends and opportunities in the evolving cyberspace landscape, preparing them to meet global challenges. This undergraduate program provides a strong academic foundation for building a successful career in computer applications. Students are introduced to a wide range of topics in the field, including the latest industry advancements, ensuring they stay up-to-date with current technologies and practices.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science Statistics (Academic stream or Vocational stream) as one of the subject under Higher Secondary Board of Examination, Tamil Nadu as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed thereto are permitted to appear and quality for the Bachelor of Computer Application degree examination of this university after a course of study of three academic years.

After completion of the programme, the graduates will be able to
