Admission Procedure
K. S. Rangasamy College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Tiruchengode, is an autonomous institution affiliated with Periyar University, Salem, and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes in accordance with the norms and guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The college follows a semester-based academic system and regularly updates its curriculum to meet contemporary academic, industry, and societal requirements while maintaining academic excellence. Teaching and learning methodologies include classroom lectures, guest lectures, seminars, self-learning, assignments, projects, practical sessions, internships, industrial visits, and periodical assessments with continuous feedback.
The undergraduate programmes generally span 6 semesters (3 years), while postgraduate programmes span 4 semesters (2 years), following the academic and evaluation norms prescribed by the affiliating university and the autonomous academic framework. The evaluation system comprises continuous internal assessment and end-semester examinations, supplemented by practical examinations, projects, seminars, and other academic activities wherever applicable.
Admission to various programmes is carried out based on the eligibility criteria and admission guidelines prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the affiliating university, and the institution.
