About the Department
The Bachelor of Business Administration at K.S.Rangasamy College of Arts and Science was established in the year 1996. It is a three year Under-Graduate programme for students who wish to pursue their education in management. The course aims at explaining the business environment of the public and private sectors. It helps the student to develop decision making ability in real time business situations. It also focuses on developing operational and analytical skills in students to tackle business problems in different sectors. A wide range of opportunities open in front of the students once the course is completed. The best part about the programme lies in the fact that the students get a general overview about the various tactics of managing and running a commercial organization.

Candidates for admission to the first year of the BBA degree course shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination (20% reserved for vocational stream) conducted by the government of Tamilnadu or any examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate. Preference will be given to those who have studied commerce and accountancy as a subject in the qualifying examination.
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the Master of Business Administration full-time degree programme shall be required to possess a Bachelor’s Degree of any Recognized University with 50% marks.

Subject: Advertising Management
Every student shall undergo a Diploma Course during their Third and Fourth semesters.
1. To enable the students to understand the various classifications and functions of advertising.
2. To enable the students to understand the economic and social effects of adverting and its markets.
Subject: SBC I: Salesmanship
1. make the students understand the concepts of selling, the responsibilities and qualities of a salesman.
Subject: SBC II: Business Plan
The course aims to prepare a ground work on business plan and the students can view entrepreneurship as their career.
Subject: SBC III: Business Process Outsourcing
The course aims to inculcate the fundamentals of outsourcing and attempts to educate the skills necessary for outsourcing jobs.
Subject: SBC IV: Event Management
The students would be able to understand the basics of planning, conducting and managing the events in the organization.
ELECTIVE: HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
The students would be able to understand the HRD techniques that can be followed in organizations for the betterment of individual and the development of organization.
ELECTIVE: PRINCIPLES OF BANKING
Dissemination of basic information concerning fundamentals and practicalities of banking, particularly Indian banking.
In III and IV Semester, the students will opt the specialization based elective subjects. In third semester the students may choose finance or human resource or operations specialization under which they will study three elective subjects. In fourth semester the students may choose marketing or systems specialization under which they will study three elective subjects.
